My son-in-law checked it out, posing questions to an electrical support group, and determined I needed another control unit.
NOTE: This had happened 3 years earlier, while the unit was still under warranty thankfully, but the certified repairman told me it would have cost me "out of pocket" over $400.00 to replace.
My son-in-law ordered a replacement board, which arrived within 3 days. He then installed it and my machine now works like new!
