The door to this machine is sort of weird and you have to lift and close it so the striker fits correctly and the door closes. Well on this day I closed the door and it wouldn't stay closed. I discovered that part of the striker had broken off in the door lock assembly, thus preventing it from closing. Can't run the machine if the door won't close. After looking on YouTube I found how to remove the door lock assembly and was able to open it up to remove the plastic piece from the striker. Once I did that I put it back together and put the door lock assembly back into the machine. I ordered the striker and hoped I had a laundromat nearby. The door striker I ordered came so fast I didn't even have to go to the laundromat! Then all it took was screwing the striker in place and I was set to start washing clothes again. I have used this site several times over the years and am so happy I found it! The parts are wonderful, great pricing and the vids make everything so easy! I have no idea how much money I saved doing this repair myself but I am sure it would have been fairly expensive to call a repairman. Especially so near Christmas. Thanks so much AppliancePartsPros! You guys are wonderful! 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
