1. Maytag - Slid a thin, flexible, metal, putty knife under each edge of the control panel to release hold-downs. (note: your machine may be different)
2. Lifted the control panel back to expose the Lid Switch.
3. Disconnected the ground wire.
4. Important: Lift washer lid to the upright position. Squeeze the tab on the Lid Switch and remove it.
5. With the washer lid still in the upright position insert the new Lid Switch and connect the ground wire.
6. Close and open the washer lid several times and listen for the CLICK.
7. Put the control panel back in place.
