I did some troubleshooting based on info I found online. My brother directed me to Appliancepartspros.com where I found more helpful info! I was able to order the drive motor and right on the product page for the motor was a video tutorial for how to replace the motor. I used this video to replace the motor, which involved disassembling the dryer, replacing the motor, and then reassembling the dryer. Our dryer is hard wired into the wall, so I was sure to turn off the breaker before doing any work. The video on this website was comprehensive, well shot, and enabled me to do the project entirely on my own. I have NEVER done anything like this before. I must also say that the part number on the old motor did not match the part number on the new motor. I chatted online with a representative from this site who was very courteous and helpful. She confirmed the motor I was planning to buy was in fact the correct one for my dryer. I will most definitely use this website again, as well as recommend it to anyone who is looking to do repair work on their appliances.
