Knowing just enough to be dangerous, I felt that the culprit was either the heating element or the dryer drum seal at the back of the drum. So, I decided that since this machine is a bit older, I would replace both components. I am very happy that I did! The original element was very brittle and the felt drum seal was very stiff, when the element should have some give to it and the seal should be soft. After replacing both components the dryer is now operating as it should. Also, the project was made MUCH easier by being able to view the how-to videos on AppliancePartsPros.com. Thank you so much for posting those free videos! They made a possibly difficult project into a very simple project.
