According to the Google machine I figured out that it was likely the dryer drive belt. My model number plate was worn off so I went back and forth with in a "chat" with a tech at Appliance Part Pros and we figured out what belt to order. That was very helpful. So I ordered one for my dryer. They had a very helpful youtube video showing the exact steps. Of course it was slightly more tricky than the video suggested. My wife and I are fairly handy but not pros by any stretch of the imagination. It all went pretty smoothly until I had to reach in under the drum to thread the new belt over the gear and belt tensioner. I simply couldn't do it because my arms were too big. However, my wife could do it. So she did that part (admittedly the trickiest part) and then I put it back together. Repair worked like a charm. We were very happy to save the money of a professional repair call.
