After the replacement of both sensors dryer cycle and the temperature sensor showed some improvement but not enough. I replaced the door switch because the tip on the switch broke, plus a dryer belt and tensioner after replacing the other parts and the dryer is 30 plus years old. I came to the conclusion to replace the dryer push-to-start switch and the heating element. The switch was OK but sooner rather than later it was to go bad. Also listed as a possible cause of the dryer not shutting off--- the heating element. So far so good.
