I have a very nice 12 year old Whirlpool Dryer that I really like. It works well and has for years. About a week ago it started to work intermittently and lint was accumulating on the dust and back.
I found a couple of YouTube Videos, diagnosed the problems as a dried out drum seal and a loose door switch, all in under an hour.
What was more challenging was finding the right new drum seal for the repair. Appliance Parts Pro had terrific schematics of my dryer to identify the right part. Just as important they carried the part I needed.
Outcome - 1.5 Hours work and $50 later my dryer is working as well as the day I bought it.
PS -I have minimal mechanical aptitude.
