Before ordering a replacement Rotor Position Sensor check to ensure the screw holding the drum tight to the unit is tight. In my case it had become loose which caused the drum to rotate unevenly which triggered the error code. In the end I did not need the new RPS, nor did I need to disassemble anything. Oh well, now I have a spare RPS should I ever need it.
