This was a simple repair that easily extended the life of this built-in refrigerator. This model has a freezer drawer below the refrigerator. After shutting off the power and removing the internal baskets and freezer door, it was a simple matter of removing the metal panel on the ceiling of the freezer. This panel is directly under the coils and captures the condensation, so expect a bit of dripping water as any residual ice melts during your repair. The evaporator motor was held in place by two screws. With those removed, it is easy to disconnect the cables (with one click) and take out the motor. Replacing it is simply doing these steps in reverse.
