Observe behavior of washing machine (fills with water, but does nothing else). Do on-line research to determine location of lid switch and general removal procedure. Un-plug machine from wall outlet. Loosen "dashboard" to expose switch. Disconnect switch. Identify part number on switch. Compare switch vendors. Order new switch. Install new switch and secure dashboard by reversing removal procedure.
