I did some internet research and determined the issue was one of the water inlet valves. The water continued to fill the washer even when the panel displayed the cycle was finished. I determined it was the cold water inlet valve by shutting off the supply and the filling of the washer stopped. I ordered the part and installed it in less than 30 minutes.
