Mark R Flower Mound , TX December 07, 2021 The water was not flowing into the washer. Although I am pretty handy around the home, there are times that make me wonder if I should actually call in a professional. Of course, I will look at the bill and think to myself, "did I really need to call them?". This is not the first time that I have used Appliance Parts Pros and their wealth of "How to repair it yourself." videos. The water was not flowing into my Whirlpool washer. The washer is fairly new. So I followed the bread crumb trail on what are the 5 most common things that go wrong with washing machines. Checked the actuators (resistors/solenoids) for the water valve outflow with a mutli-meter and the cold water actuator was not showing any electrical current passing through it. It was one of the first things on the list. Ordered the part Wednesday evening and by Friday, 12/3/21 afternoon the part arrived. It was scheduled to be delivered on 12/5/21 - 12/8/21. Love the under promise and over deliver thing. Unplugged the machine, unscrewed the water hoses, popped the wiring harness plug out the back of the control board, unscrewed the old unit, and reversed the steps. In the span of 15 minutes, we were back in business. The part was $73 with shipping and was not available locally. Saved me at least $150 to call out a repairman. Could not have asked for more.
