Emptied the contents of the freezer into coolers.
Removed the rack shelves.
Listened when the unit was running to see if I could hear where the noise was coming from.
UNPLUGGED the freezer!!
The noise seemed to be coming from the back inside so I took out 4 Phillips screws in the back that was easily accessed. Removed the panel and took a look inside, this panel reveled cooling coils, a fan and interconnection tubes and wires.
I found that the fan blades had moved back on the shaft to the motor and was slowly wearing away the plastic fan blades that were touching the motor . I removed the 2 -5/16 screws letting the motor free from the frame and was able to push the fan blades back to the end of the shaft of the motor. This stopped the noise and was the issue with the noise. Re-assembled the unit.
The fan blade is press fit or removed by hand if you are careful not to break the blades off.
I am also certain that there are plastic bits and pieces that have fallen into the freezer unit but I could not find any so they must be very small or have fallen out into the evaporating pan.
When I received the new fan blades I noticed that there was a change with the design of the fan blades, The new blades have a metal stop on the clip preventing the fan blade from sliding down the motor shaft. Put parts in (see above) and re-assembled the freezer.
The part came VERY FAST, I ordered it on a Saturday and it was at my house on Monday. WOW
