Read online stories about the Fridgidaire side by side we have. Based on what I read I thought it could be 1 of 3 problems, possibly all three. Called on a Sunday afternoon- talked with a female rep, forgot her name. After verifying the model, she was quite helpful. I was suprised that on a Sunday afternoon I would get someone that really knew their stuff. She shrugged it off to years of being at her position. Whatever, she suggested that I first get the "starter" only. Although they takes unused parts back. I decided on just the starter.
I received the part when promised and it took one socket and a screw driver to remove and install the starter- couldn't have been more than 15 minutes from start to finish.
Freezer and fridge sections have stayed exactly at temp set for over one month- saved me a new side by side and/or the $375+ service visit (after a two week wait at that).
