It started with clicking sounds for about 10 seconds at random times throughout the day. eventually the clicking sounds were gone and the temperature in the fresh food section was dropping below freezing. Turns out that one of the 3 damper doors was stuck open. My fridge has a damper door in the top left and 2 doors in the bottom left. One of the bottom doors was dedicated to the quick chill drawer which hadn't worked in some time. but since the quick chill door was stuck closed it did not cause any problems. I pulled out the drawers and disabled the quick unit to access the 2 damper doors in the bottom, and replaced them both. Now the fresh food section is working again and the quick chill unit is working. With the diagrams on this site, it was straight forward repair that took less than 2 hours start to finish.
