I took a shot based on the symptoms and recommended solutions. We experienced a power outage and some surging I think may have been the cause of the failure. I installed a control board as per instructions, including rubber gloves to prevent static charge issues. This was 3/31/2023 and everything seems to be working fine, time will tell.
