Adrian Z Clearwater Beach , FL January 02, 2017 Frigidaire stack washer/dryer washer was partly filling with water at end of last spin cycle I opened the panel where the washing machine timer was, squirted electrical contact cleaner in any opening I could find while rotating the knob through the cycles (with the unit unplugged of course!). I then squirted silicone lubricant around the center shaft of the timer while again rotating through the cycles. Electrical contact cleaner tends to 'dry out' lubricants, and I needed to restore lubrication to the main moving part. The repairs were made about three weeks ago. So far so good. If there's another failure, I have the new AppliancePartsPros timer that I can install. Replacing the timer (which I ended up not needing to do) looks fairly straightforward - unbolting the timer from the frame, disconnecting various wiring harness connections, and reversing the process for the install. 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
