Checked pin number 2 and 5 on control board to see if 14 volts was being supplied to the user interface. It was, so removed door and replaced the user interface. Apparently, these Chinese made UIs are a common problem with GE dishwashers.
The UI was shipped very quickly, so I was able to get the dishwasher up and running again within three days of it failing.
