Nick R Elkridge , UT April 12, 2015 My ge washer just shut down and locked the door I first called a repairman who came for about 10 minutes and told me it was most likely a noise reduction unit.after charging me 75.00 to tell me this he left promising to get back with me with a new part and cost to complete the needed repair. About one and a half weeks passed, i was worried why i had not heard from the repairman. I made several attempts to reach him, and finally he called me back. He informed me that the part was back ordered and would not be in for three weeks. He had not ordered the part yet, and wanted to know what i wished him to do. I was frustrated and told him to wait for further instruction from me as i planned to look for the part myself. I stumbled on to AppliancePartsPros.com I next not only found my part and matched it with the help of a person on the phone, but was able to order the part for less than the repairman had qouted. it was at my residence in three days WOW! i small video on utube and five minutes later the part was in. As it turned out i also needed a pcb assembly, main. This part i also located through APP. three days later the washer is running like new. I am a contractor after this experience i have ordered and repaired three other appliances for customers i have a dryer, a microwave door, and a dish washer. Thanks to Appliance Parts Pros amazing help. 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
