Self-repair. Very easy. I did not have to move machine. Was able to access everything from front of machine; however, I did need to reach behind control panel to disconnect water lines, unplug power, and remove three control panel screws. If you can easily access the back of your washer, the actual repair takes less than 15 minutes. Toughest part of repair was locating my tools as I never seem to put things away after use! I also replaced the rubber washers since I disconnected the water lines.
