My GE model GHWN4250D1WW washing machine would stop running, usually during one of the fill cycles. Often it would stop during the initial fill within a couple of seconds after pressing the start button (all 5 of the status lights would turn on), but sometimes it would stop further into the wash cycle and I’d return to find the tub full of water.
Replacing the main control board for the washer fixed the problem. The repair was very simple, following instructions in the video. I transferred an electrical jumper wire from the original control board to the new board. There was no mention of this in the video but I did it to make sure the old and new boards were connected identically.
