I watched the video of APP's professional removing a stuck pulsator with a hammer and chisel. This method worked but took several hours and subjected washer to repeated shocks from hammer blows. I now knew that I had to replace the pulsator so I ordered the part from APP. When it arrived I was able to see that a 1 1/2 inch hole saw could be used to cut the central hub out of the old pulsator assembly. I accomplished this by:
1.Remove the Pulsator Cap
2. Remove the 10 mm bolt
3. Use an electric drill to make a 1 1/2 inch deep cut with the hole saw, centered on the spline. 4. Remove the outside disk of the pulsator to gain easy access to the spline.
5. Pry the remaining (central hub) of the pulsator off of the splined post.
6. Vacuum tub to remove debris
7. Install new pulsator
