I removed the top and front of the dryer and was able to unscrew the heating element in the bottom right with a stubby screw driver, and get it out without taking the whole thing apart. This was the hardest part, because the screws were hard to unscrew. I could tell the heating element was bad using the multimeter because no current was flowing through it. I accidentally broke one of the spade connectors to the heating element and had to order a new one along with the element. After the new heating element came, I swapped it for the old one, and screwed everything back together the same as it was before.
