Didn't spend much time researching and purchased thermal cut-off kit. This wasn't the problem, but it was inexpensive. So then I used the AppliancePartsPros.com videos and diagnosed the heat element had failed. Pulled it out and sure enough the coil was discontinued from 15 years of heat-cool cycles. Ordered part, installed easily and now dries like brand new! Very easy.
