First ordered a new heating element. Item was shipped right away but problem was not solved. We did not wait long enough for element to heat up - mistakenly felt heat coming from top element and thought it was from bottom. Friend returned and checked voltage and reported to tech on this site. She didn't ask him how he determined the volts and sent out a 2nd element. When 2nd one didn't work and we called again, my friend was told that he had measured it incorrectly with his multimeter. This tech person agreed with an earlier opinion by Michael that my stove needed a new Oven Control Board. Ordered this after it was determined that it was not the fault of the new heating element. Ordered the Board on a Fri. afternoon - it arrived the next morning with usps, I believe.
This was not difficult to install. I asked my friend to do it as I watched him. I am a woman, 78. I would not be afraid to install it again if a further problem erupts. Just a matter of putting in plugs into correct slots - each has a different pattern or size and are color coded. This company is fabulous!!!
