After reading about similar problems on-line I decided the problem was with the control switch and not the burner, so I ordered the replacement from Appliance Parts Pros. There were two different parts for the range and in the specs on the website the only difference was the wattage. Since the two burners on either side were different sizes, I assumed the lower wattage part was for the small burner that was causing the noise when in use. On your website there is also a video on how to replace the control switch. It took me longer to round up the few tools needed and to move the stove out together to the rear than it it did to replace the part. Probably saved over $100 or more with this very simple DIY with the correct part.
