The ice machine simply stopped making ice. Water was still flowing properly (at the water dispenser) and a quick examination showed there was no obvious obstruction or damage to the system. Some of the testimonials suggested their problem was solved by replacing the ice maker control module. The video online at APP suggested that the whole ice making assembly had to come out in order to get to the module that was back towards the rear of the freezer. Fortunately, my model had the module towards the front of the freezer. I simply unplugged the refrigerator unit, pulled off the cap that covered the module, took out the 3 screws securing the module, pulled it off gently (this released the arm mechanism that I was having trouble trying to pull out from the odd angle), replaced the module (you likely will need to turn the ice machine mechanism to get the center notch to match the notch on the ice machine axle [ NOTE that it clearly states to NOT turn the wheel on the module itself to match the notches!!]), replaced the screws and cap, and plugged the refrigerator back in. Done in 10 minutes. After an hour or so, I heard the pleasant "ker plunk" of ice cubes falling.
