Removed old and replaced with the new.
Very easy to do myself. AND did not have to take whole ice maker unit nor the ice bin out of refrigerator. Just openned frezzer door, removed the plastic cover, removed the 3 screws holding old Ice maker control module in place, removed shutoff arm bar, pulled old part out of the housing unit, clicked replacement into same location as the old, put the 3 screws back, put the shutoff bar back in, replaced cover and now ice maker working again. (FYI I am Female)
Saved on cost serviceman would have charged for replacement part, the service charge, labor cost and my personal time waiting around for repairman to arrive and do work.
