After watching your video on how easy this repair was, I ordered a replacement door for the ice maker chute. As I was trying to attach the new door to the white hinged holder, (which was yellowed with an almost brown color are the snap attachment); that piece broke because it was brittle.
I then reordered the door with the kit that included the broken hinge, the spring, and another door. It had a slight variation for the plunger that controls the door drop. This caused a problem with reassembly. I couldn’t reassemble in reverse how it was taken apart according to the video.
Had to take off the water assembly and then insert the door assembly including the ice shoot as one piece and then add the water assembly.
Long story, it worked and I’m trill not to having the ice dispenser freezing up due to the condensation caused by the leaking door. I’m n Louisiana, so we have lots of humidity!
