At first, I was hesitant to get this, but once I got the old one out, I saw that the tray itself was cracked and beyond repair. So this is probably the part you need if you are having any ice problems
The removal was super easy. There were only two small Phillips head screws in the front, and it is held in the back by two posts. There isn't even a water line connection, as it just flows in from the top. So remove the screws, unplug the single electrical connection, and slide out. To install the new one, just do all that in reverse. Others suggest taking the freezer door off, but you really don't need to.
