Researching the probable cause for the ice maker not working, mistakenly, I selected one link to a repair company that offered advice for a fee. AppliancePartsPros.com had been my go to for repairing my daughter’s dishwasher and refrigerator water dispenser. This time I called AppliancePartsPros, twice, to confirm my ice maker problem was the Ice Maker control module. The parts arrived in 4 days. Essential for me to do the repair, I watched two videos, one on how to remove the ice maker and the next to replace the attached Control Module. A quarter inch socket, small blade and phillip’s head screwdriver, were the only tools I needed... I did clean the ice tray of mineral deposits with vinegar before reinstalling. Two or three hours later ice cubes dropped into the bucket.. Works like new again... Thanks to Mike and Wendee for your advice and encouragement.
