I replace with new icemaker from appliancepartspros.com. Cost was about 40 percent less than Kenmore replacement unit and cheaper than just a new drive assemble with motor. I viewed the online video and the replacement took about 15minutes. As of today it's making ice. The old icemaker started making noise a month or so ago. After replacing it I took the drive assemble off and a small apprently undamaged plastic bolt fell out. I might have been able to fix it had I opened it as soon as I heard the noise and the bolt was just loose. As it was I could not tell where the plastic screw/bolt would have gone. Overall I'm happy to have installed a new unit. It probably saved me several hours of trying to fix the old one and I might never have figured it out.
