I watched an online video on how it comes out and how to replace the control module. The motor on the control module was dark colored and on copper contact looked burnt so I figured this was the problem and ordered a new module for $67.00. Delivery time was great I received it on the third day. Installing it was just reverse the removal and went well. Ice maker is back to working with just final adjustments to make for shutting it off when the bin is full.
The only thing that remains a mystery is what the small nylon screw on the side of the control module is for.
