We used the AP5306646 Assembly Cover part to replace the dispenser portion of the unit. There is a video on YouTube where the person explains how to get the old unit out. It was 1 screw and then a pulling motion. It takes a little bit of strength and finesse but it came out like the video. Be careful unhinging the wiring harness from the main control unit, you definitely do not want to cut or break any of the wires on either side. Use small fingers to squeeze the clip's release hinge.
Getting it back in was required just a little more finagling and a bunch of tries but once the tabs were lined up correctly, you just push with pressure until you hear it click in. Once the unit is back on the refrigerator, the control panel will display a 39 E error code. That is just telling you that you have an error condition and that you need to reset the PLC on the control unit. To reset it, hold in the ENERGY SAVER and LIGHTING key for about 5-10 seconds. You will here a bing noise and the normal lights on the fridge should appear. Test out your ice and water and you should be good to go. (There is also a video on resetting the PLC control unit).
