My Mother in law was in the middle of baking a chicken when her oven just stopped working.
I went over to investigate the next day. I opened the bottom draw to look in and see the igniter.
when we turned on the oven, the igniter was glowing bright but no flame. Next thing I did was to google the problem. This is where I found Appliance Parts Pro. I read there that the igniter sends a signal back to the safety valve.
If the igniter is weak it will not tell the valve to turn on and send the gas to the burner tube.
Since the Igniter is less expensive than the safety valve, that's where I started and that's all it took!
Simple fix and my Mother in law is trilled!
Thanks
