I could not recover the water filter housing so it would accept the Aqua-Pure filter. I used an off brand filter previously and it put the internals "Out of Time" so it wouldn't accept the right filter. I had to purchase a new Water filter Housing and install it. The installation was simple and straight forward. Turn the water off. Remove the top shelf. Remove the Water filter Housing Cover by gently pulling it towards you.Remove the old water filter. Remove the two phillips head screws. You will see 2 small red locks on the water lines, remove them by just pulling them off the lines. Push the GREY line lock in which will release the water lines. Push the water lines into the housing to the black mark on the lines, install the RED line locks by pushing them onto the line under the grey flange. Reinstall the white plastic mount cover and the two phillips head screws. install the Water Filter Housing cover by pushing it onto the housing. Install the Aqua-Pure filter, turn the water on and check for leaks. Follow flushing instructions on the Filter and NEVER use a "Bargain" filter again.
