I ordered the timer from Appliance Parts Pros and watched the video pertaining to installation. My dryer is about 13 years old and after removing the back panel I noticed that my timer had about 9 individual wires rather than 4 and a block containing the rest. Leaving the old timer in place, I held the new timer next to it and one at a time pulled wires from the old part and attached to the new. When all the wires were connected to the new timer, I removed the old and installed the new. Dryer now shuts off on its own.
