William H Lynchburg , VA December 20, 2016 Appliance: Model 110.67032601 Kenmore elite oasis dryer overheating My dryer stopped running with 7 minutes left on the timer. Panel would light up, but would not start. Turns out the thermal fuse had done its job and cut the dryer off. I replaced the fuse and the thermistor next to it hoping that was why the heat didn't cycle off. It would run and heat after replacing the fuse, but it was still overheating. Read somewhere that the Technician Spec sheets are attached under the control panel console. Removed the 3 screws holding the console down((they're at the top, behind the console) and read the diagnosing steps on the sheets. Tested ohm reading on two pins on the control and determined the control board was out of specs and therefore bad. I ordered originally from SearsPartsDirect, but their tracking system is circa 1990 and I didn't know where my part was or when I would get it. Found APP, ordered the board on Thursday and for a reasonable $24.95, I got it Fri. morning! After discovering APP's website I realized what a wealth of information resides here. Although I didnt use them, they apparently have Techs available to talk with you about your problem. Are you kidding me?! Next time I have ANY issue with an appliance, these are gonna be my "go to" guys! Thanks APP for your interest in the DIYer. 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
