It was obvious that the auger motor was not working. The repair blogs said to remove the motor and check the windings for continuity. Bad advice. The motor is encased and there may be a capacitor in the circuit inside the motor enclosure. The micro-switch was also identified as a likely problem. That was pretty close, as the real problem was that the bracket holding the micro-switch was broken. It's not a difficult task to replace the bracket, but it is a bit challenging. It's in a confined space and there are quite a few wires and connections to deal with. Take photos and record connection details before you disassemble things.
