First, I watched a couple YouTube videos on how to get the ice maker out. Removed old ice maker to inspect. Pulled 1st cover off motor/timer. Then removed next cover (3screws). Full of ice and copper connections were green in places so water appears to have been getting in there for a while. Then noticed that the teflon coating on the ice tray was gone on 2 spaces closest to motor. I’m assuming ice wasn’t dumping from these 2 slots and water was getting into motor area until it finally died. Ordered new ice maker (best price I found online was yours). Had to remove the bottom bracket from old ice maker to use on new one. Not sure how long all of this took, but if I had to do it again it would be about 10 mins.
