Got a local estimate and they wanted $450 to replace the Thermostat. I watched the technician look at the damage and he explained the repair effort to me and I knew I would able be to handle the repair. Locally I could only get the part within 5 to 7 days which was a major problem for me. We were having a party over the weekend and it needed to be fixed immediately. Your website average shipping is just over 1 day and that was perfect plus the part was only $150. That saved me $300 on the repair. I actually received the part the next day at a very reasonable shipping rate. Most of the work was in the front of the stove, with the exception of running the wired thermostat to the back of the stove and into the stove itself. This required pulling the stove away from the wall. I used moving pads used for furniture and placed them under the front feet of the stove. At that point I was easily able to slide the stove out. I unscrewed and slid down the back panel and that allowed me to feed the wire thermostat into the oven and mount it to the clip on brackets. In the front, I just removed the wires from the original thermostat, one at a time, and plugged them back into the new thermostat. One side benefit, I took the opportunity to clean around and under the stove. The actual repair took less than an hour but with the additional work of cleaning the stove and its surroundings, I am pretty sure the local technician would not have done that as part of the repair. I completed the project in about three hours.
