Replaced worm gear & bracket. Old one was stripped & also bound up. Also found that the shaft was binding in its bearings. I believe this was the main reason for the gear stripping. Would recommend cleaning out old grease and replacing it with new if machine is over 20 yrs old or the grease is looking dry if you take one apart!
