Our ice maker was producing so much ice that it would fall to the floor when we opened the door. After a quick YouTube search, I was able to determine that the problem was probably with the thermistor. It had gone bad so the machine didn't know to stop producing ice. I received the part in a couple of days. It was a simple fix-- most difficult aspect was getting large hands into a small space.
