We pulled the dishwasher out part way (did not have to pull it all the way out as some have had to do). The fasteners for the upper track are on the side of our Maytag washer. We simply had to take off the screws holding the part and replace the track. One of the trickier things was removing the rack from the track, plastic parts were brittle (dishwasher only 4 years old) and broke on each side. Fortunately it did not prevent the rack from being able to be used effectively.
