Paul O Lockport , NY March 24, 2023 Appliance: Model DLEX 5170W LG dryer would run 5 seconds and stop it would sit a couple minutes and restart then stop this sequence would repeat itself I read online about people having the same trouble and they all said it was the motor with built-in overload protection. They all said they replaced the motor. So I bought an OEM motor through AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced it. It now (so far) works like a new machine. I also replaced the belt as long as I had it apart. If anyone tries to do this I suggest finding a video on how to take your machine apart.
