I checked online for a replacement part for the grate, because it was uneven without the foot. The part I ordered was not the exact part as before, but I super glued the foot to the grate, and it worked to even out the grate so that it does not tip back and forth anymore.
It was a successful, inexpensive repair. I now have three additional replacements if this happens again.
