Tracey F Marysville , WA September 07, 2014 A loud pop and the oven / broiler elements no longer worked We pulled the unit out and removed the back covers. Nothing looked burnt out or shorted. Called a friend who repairs / sells appliances for a living in another country he diagnosed it over the phone and of course added the proper: " I can't be sure but this is the most likely remedy". I called a few local parts suppliers and got extremely poor service so I tried a large retailer known for their appliances and service. That was the most insulting behavior I have ever gotten in a retail store so I came home and did some net searching. AppliancePartsPros wasn't the cheapest but their site was the most comprehensive and considerate right down to the comments about how fast the shipping is ( very accurate). I watched the tracking as the package traveled to my house and when I got home I walked through the garage to collect my tools so I could do the installation.... I wasn't able to. My wife had already done it and just needed help sliding the oven back into place. So then we had take-n-bake pizza and watched the Seattle Seahawks play a great Thursday night season opener. - Actual installation notes: a nut driver was used to remove shielding covers. All the wiring was plug in. We took a picture of all the wiring before disconnecting and confirmed before plugging in the power ( I took the pictures to verify the part when ordering and my wife used them to verify the connections). Including sliding the oven in and out with special lift plates under it to match cabinet heights the job took less than 15 minutes. 35 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
