Replaced convection motor. Initially this looked like a 10 minute job including removing and replacing the back panel. However, the wiring connector was not in the right place. After studying and comparing the top motor, replacement motor, and the failed motor, plus chatting with a tech at Appliance Parts Pros (they're great), it became apparent that the motor on the replacement part had to be reversed in its housing. That was no big deal, but it took a while to figure out. The replacement part would have installed directly into the top fan position, but for some reason Samsung made the bottom motor the mirror opposite of the top. Oh, and the failed motor had left hand threads on the fan shaft, while the replacement part had right hand threads. When all was said and done, I ended up saving about $130 from what the repair shop the was recommended by Samsung would have cost. Dealing with Appliance Parts Pros was easy and well worth the time!
