William T Hampton , VA April 12, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher DU1145XTPBA Whirlpool Dishwasher Du1145xtpba: Made loud noises and then began leaking. How to replace Circulation Motor. I removed motor thinking gasket was worn. Tried to reseal it with no luck. It still leaked. I ordered a new part to install to try and repair leak. When the new part arrived (volute) I attempted to install it. After removing the impeller from the motor housing I discovered the motor had leaked around the bearing and needed replacement. I ordered a new motor and pump assembly. Once it arrived it was easily installed. (The video on Appliance Parts Pro was very helpful). The new motor was installed and dishwasher was operational again in about 15 minutes. ($120 repair vs. new dishwasher which would have cost $400-500 plus installation and delivery charges. Wife and I are pleased - no more dishes washed by hand 3x's a day). Appliance Parts credited me for the volute I ordered since the new pump and motor assembly came with one. Customer service guys were very helpful too. I plan to do business with AppliancePartsPros again. 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
